I’ve been in Kenya for a little while now, almost 7 years. I love this country. I do. I love the fresh air and the rolling hills of Kisii where I live. I love Kenyan culture and all of the different communities. I love the people. And… I’m even starting to dig the music. A very popular African Proverb says “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. ” Going together is never fast, rarely convenient, and sometimes it’s not even fun.  But it’s necessary. Oasis for Orphans has a vision of rescuing 110,000 orphaned and vulnerable children. It’s a huge vision that likely won’t happen in my lifetime. But it will happen… if we do this together.
